Breezy Thrill of Pinks

Landscape of Pink flowers
We should all dance in the sun sometimes like these Pinks! 16X20 unframed $272. Buy This Painting

Winsome, wafting, welcoming–these are all words that come to mind when I see these pink primroses along the sides of the roads in spring. They love the sun and they dance with joy in the slightest breeze.

And someday I’ll learn to really paint them, haha! I think it’s the curse of the artist to always be searching with paint for the feeling of a flower or person or scene or light.

The search will never end, and that’s a joyful thought.

Of Interest to Artists

This is 16X20 on UArt 400. I used an artgraph underpainting in blue, yellow and white… Yes white! Using white allowed me to preserve the areas where I wanted the larger flowers. I wish I had taken a photo of it, because it was pretty cool (in more than one way!), but I was in a hurry and didn’t.
