Well folks, in the marketing world they say “Consistency is key”. I guess that means I’ll never unlock the secret of effective marketing, because as far as blog and youtube posts go, I am not gifted in consistency!
New Stoneware
Opening my kiln this past Wednesday was a truly lovely experience (that’s NOT the experience I mentioned in the title…scroll down for that). Lots of experiments turned out wonderful. Here’s a gallery of the pieces. These pieces will not be in the catalog until after the Private Sale event mentioned below, but if you really can’t wait, please message me for purchasing information.
In truth there was another kiln opening before this one…I’ll share that soon, because it was also quite wonderful!
IAPS
I’ll be leaving Saturday the 18th for Albuquerque NM! I’m so excited. This is a gift to myself. The last time I attended the International Association of Pastel Societies conference I promised myself that I would go every time they host it…which is every other year (except of course during pandemics). IAPS, as it’s affectionately called, is absolutely so much fun for those of us who work in the medium of pastels. There are demos and workshops, and best of all…THE CANDY SHOP. Which has no candy at all, strangely enough. But it has every kind of soft pastel made on the planet, every kind of paper and surface, and so. many. tools and accessories! I will come home with new supplies, guaranteed.
I’ll also be driving up and back with Rita Kirkman, so I’ll be making a new friend and gaining access to her wealth of artist knowledge.
