About Me

See The Music

Esther became a visual artist in 2015 after discovering the brilliant medium of pastel. Her current body of work in pastel on paper explores floral, landscape, and animal subjects as well as exploring abstract topics.

The paintings are often nostalgic, seldom subtle, and occasionally whimsical. She seeks out the intimate views that are easily missed with a casual glance, and hopes to inspire you to do the same.

Hear the Colors

Known as the “Magical Freaking Unicorn” among her students, Esther instills confidence in them by creating a safe space in lessons and insuring that the curriculum used meets the student where they are.

She has been teaching music since 2004, has a bachelor’s degree in music with a vocal emphasis, and spent 7 years as a certified music teacher in the public schools.

Touch the Magic

Becoming a potter was the first truly artistic achievement for Esther. She entered the wonderful world of pottery in the late 1990s, but after a family move to follow her husband to a new job, she took a long hiatus, returning to the medium in early 2022.

She is continuously experimenting and exploring her delight in the medium of clay, and currently teaches local in person classes in hand-building.
